Questions & Resources
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many clients come to build insight, strengthen relationships, and manage stress before it becomes overwhelming. We value prevention, maintenance, and long-term emotional wellness.
What is your therapeutic approach?
At Bayshore Mental Wellness, I take a collaborative, client-centered approach that integrates psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness-based techniques. Together, we explore patterns rooted in past experiences that may be influencing your current thoughts, emotions, and relationships, while also identifying practical tools to shift unhelpful thinking and behavioral patterns. Mindfulness strategies are incorporated to strengthen emotional regulation, increase self-awareness, and reduce stress.
I also work from a person-centered and holistic perspective, recognizing that emotional well-being is connected to lifestyle, relationships, and overall balance. While I create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space, I also tend to be more direct in sessions, offering insight, structure, and gentle challenge when helpful. My goal is to support both prevention and long-term growth, helping clients build clarity, resilience, and meaningful change.
Do you accept insurance?
Bayshore Mental Wellness is a self-pay practice with a limited number of sliding-scale openings available upon request. While I do not currently accept insurance, I am happy to provide a superbill after each session for you to submit to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your plan. Just ask!
